Living Righteously and Maintaining a Constant State of Readiness

The days of Noah are here again—people live carelessly, unaware of eternity. But we are called to live differently—righteously, watchfully, and expectantly. Three essential truths guide us in maintaining constant readiness for Christ's return.

One of the biggest dangers to readiness is spiritual sleep. We go to church, we pray occasionally, but our hearts can grow numb and indifferent.

Like the Laodiceans, we may think we are spiritually wealthy and need nothing, but before God we are poor, blind, and naked. This self-deception is particularly dangerous because it prevents us from seeking the spiritual renewal we desperately need.

Paul urgently reminds us that the time for spiritual awakening is now:

The ultimate blessing belongs to those found faithful when Christ returns:
