One of the greatest dangers in the Christian life is not ignorance but inaction. Many believers know far more than they practice. They have heard hundreds of sermons, read through the Bible, and memorized key verses—yet their lives remain unchanged.

James confronts this directly:

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." — James 1:22 (NKJV)

In Daniel chapter 2, we see a profound truth about how God reveals mysteries. When King Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream that none of his wise men could interpret, Daniel and his friends did not rely on human wisdom.

Nebuchadnezzar had power, wealth, and wise counselors—but no one could help him understand his dream. The answers we seek about our future, our calling, and our purpose are not found in human wisdom alone.

"But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days." — Daniel 2:28 (NKJV)

Many believers fall into the trap of hearing God's Word without allowing it to transform their lives. Jesus addressed this directly:

When believers accumulate biblical knowledge but fail to live it out, they become like the Pharisees—religious on the outside but unchanged on the inside.

Every Sunday we sit in church and receive truth through sermons, worship, and fellowship. The critical question is: what do we do with that revelation on Monday? How does it change our attitudes, relationships, and decisions throughout the week?

Jesus' Warning: The Two Builders (இயேசுவின் எச்சரிக்கை: இரண்டு கட்டுவோர்)

Jesus illustrated this principle powerfully in His parable of the two builders:

"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock." — Matthew 7:24 (NKJV)

Both builders heard the same words from Jesus. Both had access to the same revelation. The difference was not in the hearing but in the doing. When the storms of life came, only the house built on obedience remained standing.

Paul reminds us that we are entrusted with God's mysteries, and faithfulness is required of stewards. When God reveals something to us—whether through His Word, prayer, or circumstances—we become responsible for that knowledge.

"Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." — 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 (NKJV)

James provides the antidote to spiritual stagnation—active obedience to God's Word:

The blessing comes not from knowing God's Word, but from doing it. When we move from hearing to action, we position ourselves to receive God's continued revelation and blessing.

What truth has God revealed to you recently that you have not yet acted upon? Perhaps it is a conviction about forgiveness, a call to serve, or a prompting to change a habit or attitude.

The next time you hear a sermon, read Scripture, or sense God's leading, ask yourself: "What specific action will I take because of this revelation?" Write it down. Make a plan. Take the first step.

Seek Understanding and Application (புரிந்துகொள்ளுதலையும் பயன்பாட்டையும் தேடுங்கள்)

Like Daniel, ask God not only to reveal His will but to give you wisdom to understand and apply it. Pray for the courage to act on what He shows you, even when it requires sacrifice or change.

Remember Your Stewardship (உங்கள் காப்பாளத்துவத்தை நினைவில் கொள்ளுங்கள்)

Every revelation from God carries responsibility. You are accountable not only for what you know but for what you do with what you know. Use the mysteries God has revealed for His glory and the benefit of others.

When God reveals His truth to us, it is not merely for our information but for our transformation. Let us be found faithful stewards who not only receive God's revelation but live it out in every aspect of our lives.
