A Life That Learns: The Power of Learning, Unlearning, and Relearning

The Call to be Lifelong Learners (வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் கற்பவர்களாக இருப்பதற்கான அழைப்பு)

The Greek word for disciple — mathetes — literally means "a learner." When Jesus called His disciples, He was calling them to a lifetime of learning. This word occurs 269 times in the New Testament, emphasizing that following Christ is fundamentally about being teachable.

The Scriptures consistently emphasize the importance of learning. The wise man increases in learning, and we are commanded to learn to do right. We never outgrow learning in the Kingdom of God — learning is the beginning of transformation.

• Replacing lies with truth

As we embrace this call to be lifelong learners, let us consider:

• What has God been trying to teach you that you have been resisting?
• What old pattern, belief, or attitude do you need to unlearn?
• Are you truly teachable — humble, open, and willing to change?
• What truth does God want you to relearn and rebuild your life upon?

A disciple is not someone who has arrived. A disciple is someone who is always learning, unlearning, and relearning. God doesn't use people who know everything; He uses people who are willing to be taught, corrected, and transformed by His Word and Spirit.

Like Moses, Paul, and Peter, let us remain open to God's transforming voice throughout our lives, knowing that in His school, graduation comes only when we see Him face to face.
